At this point security was called and to avoid any further scene I handed him $20.00 again and walked away.Īs I was grabbing a cigarette a few minutes later the guy approached me with an 'apology' over embarrassing me in front of other players. We continued to argue for a few minutes as I insisted he was mistaken he got pissed, threatened me to a fight and called me a f_ing a_le. I told him I had already paid him and he insisted that I didn't. After tipping out to the dealers and heading back to a cash table the $20.00 guy stopped me demanding his $20.00. In front of two of Hollywood's floor staff I gave the guy his money and went over to the cashier counter to get our chop ($257 each way). Everyone agreed and a couple minutes after the guy that was to receive $20.00 from everyone began trying to collect his money from the other players.
The terms of the chop was that the chip leader received 3rd place money ($625.00) and everyone agreed to an even chop for the remainder with the stipulation that everyone would chip in $20.00 to the 2nd place chip position as part of the chop. Today was the monthly freeroll and once we got down to 18 players all remaining players (of which I was 1) agreed to a chop. It's been bugging the crap outta me all day.
I would like the input of some of the players in this thread over an incident that occurred to me today and how I handled this.
